Sometimes you get cucumbers that are very bitter. These are usually of the "field" variety. There is actually something you can do to help fix this!
Slice the end off the cucumber and rub it in a circle on the cut end of the cucumber. This will create a white foam which is the bitterness being drawn out. Cut the up cucumber and enjoy!
I know it sounds crazy but the only way to know for sure is to try!
