Sponge Toffee Recipe
I love making this when I am having a chocolate fondue. It is always a favorite! It can also be dipped in chocolate and cooled to make a snack like a Crunchie bar.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp baking soda
- Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar in large sauce pan.
- Stir over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved
- Continue to cook to 300F(hard crack stage)
- Remove from heat,stir in baking soda quickly (will become frothy)
- Pour into a buttered pan
- Let cool in the pan
- Break apart into pieces and enjoy!
